Witness appeal after fatal collision in Bewdley

Officers are appealing for witnesses to a two car collision on the B4194 in Bewdley this morning (13 October).

Police, fire and ambulance services attended the collision, which happened around 6.45am and involved a red Ford Fiesta and a silver BMW.

A man in his 20s who was driving the Fiesta was taken to QE Hospital with serious injuries, where he was sadly pronounced deceased.

The driver of the BMW, a man in his 60s, has been taken to Russells Hall Hospital with injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing at this time.

There are currently a number of road closures in place and motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes where possible.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or anybody who saw the manner in which either vehicle was being driven prior to the incident, is asked to call police on 101 and quote incident number 94s of 13 October.
