Free rider skills day for bikers in North Worcestershire! - 25 September 2015

Motorcyclists across North Worcestershire and beyond are being encouraged to come along to a Rider Skills Day in Redditch next weekend where they can take advantage of a free assessed ride-out with a qualified IAM (Institute of Advanced Motorists) observer!

Redditch Advanced Motorcyclist Group (RAMG) has joined forces with the Safer Roads Partnership in Warwickshire and West Mercia and Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service to organise the event which takes place on Saturday 3rd October at Redditch Fire Station (10am-4pm).

Anna Higgins, Communications Manager at the Safer Roads Partnership said "The Safer Roads Partnership works with local partners and motorcycling groups to try and reduce the number of motorcyclists killed and injured in collisions. Rider skills days are a series of motorcycle safety events aimed at moped, scooter and motorcycle riders. Events aim to help riders improve their skills and be more confident on the roads. It doesn't matter if you're an experienced rider or have just got your first set of wheels, the assessed ride-outs will have something to offer everyone so come along and find out for yourself!"

Free assessed rides on your own bike with a qualified observer from Redditch Advanced Motorcyclist Group will be available on the day on a first-come-first-served basis but bikers are advised to pre-book to avoid disappointment. Riders can pre-book by emailing

Riders will also have the opportunity to sign up for the IAM Skills for Life programme and take advantage of a substantial cost saving on the price of a course. Riders under the age of 25 can save 50% if they sign-up on the day, while riders aged 25 or over can take advantage of a £50 discount.
