Our motorcycle safety campaigns focus on a variety of age of riders on 500cc+ machines, leisure riders that ride their bike over the summer evenings and weekends and also commuter riders. Young riders on smaller powered machines will also be a target area.

The Safer Roads Partnership works with local partners and motorcycling groups to try and reduce the number of motorcyclists killed and injured in collisions. As well as supporting the national 'Think Bike' campaign, the partnership identifies key collision motorcycle routes across Warwickshire and West Mercia and uses 'Think Bike' and 'Ride Safely' signage to raise awareness among general motorists as well as bikers.

The partnership offers two educational courses for bikers. Take Control is a practical on-road subsidised training course for motorcyclists, aimed at bikers of all ages and abilities. Biker Down is a free three-hour course which offers bikers the chance to benefit from essential first-aid training and advice on what to do should they find themselves first at the scene of a collision where a motorcyclist is injured, as well as learning practical skills to help avoid being involved in a collision.
