Robert Sampson death - police appeal for witnesses

Police investigating the death of Robert Sampson on 16 November are appealing for witnesses and information, to further establish the circumstances around the incident.

Robert, who was 63 years old, died following an attack on Thursday 16 November. The incident happened on Crookbarrow Road, Norton, Worcestershire at about 11pm.

Daryl Sampson, 28, of Broomhall Cottages, Worcestershire, has since been charged with murder and remains in custody. He is due to appear at Worcester Crown Court on 21 December. 

Detective Inspector Paul Hardman said: "The attack on Robert happened in the open, on a public street, so we know that many people will have been walking or driving past around the time it happened. Although a man has now been charged in relation to the incident, we're still keen to talk to anyone who can help us establish the surrounding circumstances. 

"Please do get in touch with any information - even the smallest detail could prove to be significant."
