Man suffers stab wound in Telford incident

The victim, a 51-year-old man from Telford, has been taken to hospital with a serious injury to his hand.

Inspector Julian Smith said: "There was a large police presence in the area while we dealt with this incident and I'd like to thank local people in the area for their patience and support. Officers were promptly on the scene to contain the incident and ensure no other members of the public were put at risk."

All roads in the area are now open following the incident.

A 50 year old male from Telford has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and released on police bail to appear at the end of January.
