Enquiries ongoing into murder investigation - Worcester

Police are continuing to investigate the death of 51-year-old Julie Fox, who was found deceased in her home on Carnforth Drive on the evening of Wednesday 27 December.

A 43-year-old man from Worcester who was arrested on suspicion of murder on Tuesday (3 January) remains in police custody. Officers were last night granted a 36-hour extension for further questioning. 

Detective Superintendent Adrian McGee from West Mercia Police said: "It's now been over a week since Julie's body was found, and we are continuing to investigate the circumstances of her death.Julie Fox 2 Displays a larger version of this image in a new browser window

"Officers remain in the area whilst enquiries are carried out and we are continuing to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area between 22 December and 27 December to please come forward or speak with a local officer. 

"We are also still trying to locate Julie's pink handbag (pictured right), which she had with her days before she died. This is currently missing from her bungalow and I would ask anyone with any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to please come forward.
