Enquiries continue into murder investigation - Worcester

Police are continuing to investigate the death of 51-year-old Julie Fox, who was found deceased in her home on Carnforth Drive on the evening of Wednesday 27 December.

A 43-year-old man from Worcester who was arrested on suspicion of murder on Tuesday (3 January) remains in police custody. Officers were last night granted a further 32-hour extension for questioning.

Detective Superintendent Adrian McGee from West Mercia Police said: "Investigations are continuing and officers remain in the area whilst enquiries are carried out.

"We are continuing to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area between 22 December and 27 December to please come forward, and we are still trying to locate Julie's pink handbag (pictured right), which she had with her days before she died. This is currently missing from her bungalow and I would ask anyone with any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to please come forward or speak with a local officer."

Anyone with information relating to this incident is asked to phone West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident number 597s of 27 December 2017. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org
