  • Mobile speed camera to be introduced on Alcester Road, Wythall

    The Safer Roads Partnership in West Mercia is launching a new mobile speed enforcement site on Alcester Road, Wythall in direct response to concerns raised by local residents and Wythall Parish Council about the speed of vehicles travelling along the 30mph road.


    Warwickshire Police and West Mercia Police Safer Roads Partnership is today launching their 2018 'THINK BIKE' campaign - aimed at motorcycle riders and other road users - to help reduce casualties and deaths on roads across Herefordshire, Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, Worcestershire and Warwickshire.

  • Police urge motorists and passengers to 'Belt up'

    With a European-wide seatbelt enforcement campaign taking place this week, West Mercia Police are urging all motorists and their passengers to stay safe and use their seatbelt every time they travel in a vehicle. The campaign is running from 12th - 18th March to encourage motorists to belt up, through a combination of campaign and enforcement activity.

  • Police continue crackdown on drivers using mobile phone

    West Mercia Police, the Safer Roads Partnership and National Fire Chiefs Council are supporting the National Police Chiefs' Council (NPCC) mobile phone week of action next week 22nd - 28th January, by targeting motorists who continue to use their handheld mobile phone at the wheel.

  • Speed enforcement in operation on M5 Worcestershire

    The Safer Roads Partnership in Warwickshire and West Mercia is advising all motorists travelling along the M5 in Worcestershire to be aware that speed enforcement is in operation between junctions 6 and 4a. Variable speed limits may be in place throughout the day and if not signed otherwise the national speed limit will apply.
