Police name man who died following a road traffic collision on the A456

Police can confirm that the name of the pedestrian who died following a road traffic collision on the A456 near West Midlands Safari Park in Bewdley, Worcestershire on Monday (29 January) is Kirk Busby.

 

Mr Busby, aged 36 years of Kidderminster, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene following a collision which took place at approximately 4:50 am.

The A456 was closed between Bewdley and Sutton Park Road in Kidderminster whilst the emergency services worked at the scene, reopening around 9.20am.

Any witnesses to the collision are asked to call 101, quoting incident number 51s of 29 January.

West Mercia Police are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who saw Kirk walking from the general direction of Bewdley towards Kidderminster.

A 35-year-old man was arrested in connection to the incident and has since been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.
