Animals killed in Rubery break in

Police are on the hunt for someone who broke into a property on Redhill Lane, Rubery.

The break-in happened sometime between 9pm on Saturday 11 February and 8am on Tuesday 13 February.

The offender or offenders forced entry to the property and once inside killed a calf. A ewe was also dragged from an adjacent field and killed.

He said: "This was a sickening incident that would have undoubtedly caused a lot of suffering to the two animals. It is likely the animals have been killed for their meat.

"I'm keen to speak to anyone with information or CCTV, or who saw anything suspicious in the area. Please contact us, what may seem insignificant could fit into a bigger picture.
