Waterways Watch

Waterways Watch is aimed at anyone who lives or works on or near rivers or canals. The aim of this watch scheme is to promote safety and security on inland waterways.

Waterways Watch is a free scheme where we will alert you when a crime or suspicious incident occurs, to allow you to review your own security measures and better protect yourself and your property from harm.

Warwickshire Police and West Mercia Police support local initiatives via the circulation of crime messages. Messages circulated through Waterways Watch will contain information relating to criminal damage to boats, thefts of marine equipment and engines and burglaries of house boats.

Join Waterways Watch to receive crime messages and crime prevention information from Warwickshire Police and West Mercia Police. Being a member of a watch scheme is a two way process. We will provide you with crime messages about incidents, which have occurred in your area and, in exchange, we would expect you to tell us about suspicious persons, vehicles or activity. Before almost every crime there is usually some suspicious activity. Therefore it is vital that you help us, to help you.
