UPDATED - Man arrested after incident at Kidderminster nightclub

Officers would like to reassure the Kidderminster community after an incident at a nightclub in the early hours of Saturday morning (31 March).

Police, the ambulance and fire service were called to New Road at around 1.45am following a concern for safety.

Two people were taken to hospital with non-serious injuries thought to be caused by inhaling a substance - believed to be CS gas.

They have since been released.

A 29-year-old man from Kidderminster arrested on suspicion of possessing a weapon for the discharge of a noxious liquid or gas and assault ABH has been bailed until 28 April.

Investigations are currently ongoing and anyone with information about the incident or who was in the area at the time is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting incident number 64S of 31 March.
