Appeal for witnesses after robbery at convenience store

Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery at a convenience store in Wythall, Worcestershire.

The robbery happened in the early hours of this morning (Saturday 7 April) at around 6.30am at the One Stop Store in Drakes Cross Parade, Hollywood.  Three men went into the store where they attacked and threatened staff.  It's not believed they were armed with any weapons.  A fourth male was waiting outside in a dark coloured BMW.  The men made off with money and cigarettes.   

The members of staff suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident.

All suspects are described as Asian males; one is described as in his 20's wearing a black coat and dark trousers, the second male is described as being of large build, in his 20's and wearing glasses and the third male is described as skinny, in his 20's and wearing a navy coloured jumper.  There is no description of the fourth male.

Detectives are carrying out enquiries and are appealing for anyone with information.

Detective Sergeant James Beard, from North Worcester CID, said: "Luckily the members of staff have not been seriously injured but have clearly been left shaken by this incident. We're carrying out enquiries to trace the offenders and would appeal to anyone who may have seen anything in the Hollywood or Wythall areas this morning that might assist us with our enquiries."
