Arrest made after man is injured in Kidderminster road rage incident

A 51-year-old man from Ludlow has been arrested on suspicion of assault after a man was injured in a road rage incident in Kidderminster at the weekend.

The incident occurred on Saturday (14 April) at around 3pm in Bewdley road near to Kidderminster Hospital.

The victim, a 78-year-old man, suffered injuries to his head, arms and legs following in the incident, which occurred after a reported altercation between him and the suspect.

The suspect then drove away.

The arrested man has been bailed until later in the week while investigations continue.

Detective Constable Eleanor Jones said: "This was a vicious attack on an elderly gentleman that has left him with injuries to his head, arms and legs.

"We're carrying out a thorough enquiry to establish what happened and would appeal for anyone with information to contact us."
