UPDATE: Witnesses sought to fatal collision in Bromsgrove

Were you driving along the A491 Sandy Lane in Bromsgrove on Tuesday evening (1 May)?

Did you witness a two vehicle collision at around 10.15pm?

Officers are investigating after a black Vauxhall Astra, which was travelling from the direction of junction 4, and a Scania P410 HGV collided with one another.

The driver of the Astra - a man in his 80s - suffered injuries and was taken to hospital. He has since died.

A passenger in the Astra - a man in his 50s - was also taken to hospital but was subsequently released while the driver of the Scania was uninjured.

Enquiries are currently ongoing but police would like to speak with any witnesses to the incident or people who saw the vehicles and the manner in which they were being driven prior to the collision.
