Appeal for witnesses following attempted robbery in Worcester

West Mercia Police is appealing for witnesses or information following an attempted robbery in Worcester on Saturday morning (26 May 2018).

At approximately 9.30am, a man in his thirties was walking down an alleyway near to Aldi off Somerville Road, Worcester, when he was punched in the face. It's reported the offender then put his hand in the victim's pocket , but nothing was stolen.

The victim sustained a facial injury and was taken to hospital by ambulance.

It's believed there may have been two males involved, one of them is described as a white man wearing blue jogging bottoms, dark-coloured trainers and a ring on the small finger of his right hand.

Investigating officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the offence, including a man wearing a red and white checked shirt who was walking a terrier-type dog, and is believed to have witnessed the offence.
