Two children injured in collision in Telford

Police are appealing for witnesses after a two children were injured in a collision in Telford yesterday (Wednesday 1 August).

The collision happened around 12.40pm on the A4169 in Lightmoor between between a small liveried Peugeot van and a VW polo.

For reasons yet to be established the cause of the collision is not known and police are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen either of the vehicles before the collision happened.

The children - a girl aged seven and five year boy - have been taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries. A man and woman were also taken to hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The road was closed for a short time to allow emergency services to deal with the incident.

Officers are carrying out enquiries and are appealing for witnesses.
