Appeal for witnesses to fatal collision in Shrewsbury

We are appealing for witnesses to a fatal collision in Shrewsbury to come forward.

The incident happened at approximately 9.10pm last night (Wednesday 3 October) when a white Land Rover Range Rover Sport travelling along Wenlock Road in the direction of Much Wenlock collided with a cyclist.

Sadly, the cyclist, a 30-year-old man, suffered serious injuries and died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

The road was initially closed while emergency services dealt with the incident but it has since reopened.

Officers are keen to speak with anyone who saw the incident, was in the area at the time, or has dashcam footage of the collision.
