Witnesses sought after serious collisions in Shropshire

Police are appealing for witnesses after two separate collisions in Shropshire.

The first happened on Forton Road in Newport at 4.10am in the early hours of Sunday 7 October. A 20 year old male pedestrian suffered fatal injuries after being struck by a car.

In the second collision, which happened at 2.37am in the early hours of this morning (Monday 8 October), a vehicle travelling from Church Stretton towards Shrewsbury came of the A49 near Hunger Hill. A 27 year old woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Officers are carrying out enquiries into both collisions and are appealing for any witnesses to get in contact.
