Act of remembrance

On the 104th Anniversary of the Battle of Gheluvlet

PC James Potter and PCSO Linda Pawley attended the Act of Remembrance Commemoration Service held at Gheluvelt Park this morning (Sunday 28th October).

The service was held to commemorate The 104th Anniversary of the Battle of Gheluvelt commemorating the achievements of the men of the 2nd Battalion of the Worcester Regiment on 31st October 1914.

The service was organised by the Worcester Branch of The Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters Regimental Association in partnership with Worcester City Council, with the service being conducted by Canon Paul Tongue.

PC Potter laid a wreath on behalf of West Mercia Police.
