Appeal for information following collision between car and pedestrian in Hollywood, Birmingham

West Mercia Police is appealing for witnesses or information following a collision between a car and a pedestrian in Hollywood, Birmingham, on 26 October, in which a woman suffered potentially life threatening injuries.

Police were called at around 10.20pm to the collision on the Alcester Road. The car, a black BMW 530 D SE, was travelling past the Packhorse Pub in the direction of Maypole roundabout, Maypole. It is believed to have moved to the opposite lane and then back again when the collision occurred. The pedestrian, a woman in her 60s, suffered potentially life threatening injuries and was taken by ambulance to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

The driver, a male aged 31, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of dangerous driving. The car received minor damage to the bumper, bonnet and windscreen.

Three unknown males believed to have been in the car left the scene and are being sought by police.
