Appeal for information following burglary in Redditch

West Mercia Police is appealing for information following a burglary from a private dwelling in Redditch.

The incident occurred overnight sometime between 10pm on Friday 26 October and 8:30 am on Saturday 27 October at an address in Westbury Close Redditch, while the occupants were out. Unknown persons gained entry to the property by forcing a side gate and then smashing the glass in a door. Numerous items were taken from the premises including the keys to a black Nissan Micra, which was then stolen off the drive .

A potential suspect, described as a male in his 20s, was seen in the street on the Saturday taking photos possibly of the burgled dwelling, between 5:30 - 6pm.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident 203S of 27 October 2018 or crime number 2222/95665/18.   Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
