Distraction burglary in Shawbury

Police are appealing for witnesses after a distraction burglary in Shawbury.

The burglary happened between 1.30pm and 1.45pm yesterday afternoon (Monday 5 November) in Wytheford Road. The offenders stole cash and a debit card while the occupant was distracted after calling at the address..

Officers are carrying out enquiries into the burglary and are appealing for witnesses.

In particular they are keen to speak to anyone who was driving along the B5063 Wytheford Road, near to the Fox and Hounds Pub either towards the junction for the A53 or out of the village in the direction of Walton who has dashcam footage or saw a white/silver Vauxhall astra van, or anyone who may have seen a similar van parked on the road.
