Come along to Open Events to explore officer careers with West Mercia Police

People who are interested in a career in policing will be given a helping hand next month with a series of Open Evening Events.

West Mercia Police is running the events in the first two weeks of December, with dates set for Worcestershire, Hereford and Telford.

The events will be held at the police HQ in Hindlip, near Worcester, on 4 December, the Park Inn, Telford on 5 December, the Courtyard in Hereford on 6 December and the Southcrest Manor Hotel, Redditch on 11 December. All the events run from 7.30 - 9pm.

These events will be informative and supportive, giving the opportunity to ask questions of police officers to find out about what the job is really like, while recruitment and other support teams will be available to answer process-related queries.

Martin Evans, Assistant Chief Constable for Local Policing, said: "Offering great staff benefits and career prospects, West Mercia Police has a strong family ethos. We pride ourselves on working closely together to get the job done, and you will be treated as a valued member of the team from day one.

"Our policing area is increasingly diverse, and it is vital that our workforce reflects our communities, so we particularly welcome women and people from black and minority ethnic backgrounds to join us."
