Did you witness a handbag theft in Kidderminster?

At around 2pm on Thursday (20 December) a woman returned to her car, which was parked on Bromsgrove Street, and placed a black handbag on the front passenger seat and the shopping in the footwell. After she closed the door and walked  to the driver's door, she saw a man open her passenger door, reach in and take her handbag from the front seat. The man then ran off towards Prospect Hill and past the mini roundabout.

The man is described as white, in his 20s, of slight build, between 5ft 8in tall and 5ft 10in tall. He was wearing a black hat and all black clothing with dark stubble on his face.

Enquiries are currently ongoing but officers are keen for anyone who saw the incident, who witnessed anyone acting suspiciously or who was in the area at the time to come forward.
