North Worcestershire Police Cadets set to raise money for charity this Friday

North Worcestershire Police Cadets will be taking part in a terrifying challenge raising money for charity this Friday evening (11 December 2019).

PC Neil Sharpe, Youth Engagement & Cadet Team Leader said: "The cadets are doing a sponsored stay overnight in the Birmingham Central lock Up, in Steelhouse Lane. The old Steelhouse Lane is in central Birmingham and was built for the Birmingham City Police and opened in 1933 as their Central Police Station, replacing a Victorian station on the same site.

"The cadets will be staying in the old Victorian custody block that is supposed to be haunted. In fact, the TV program, 'Most Haunted' actually has a show from there! Cadets and leaders will be staying awake and taking part in challenges throughout the night. There will also be a few scary films juts to make sure everyone is sufficiently scared!

"All money raised will go to a charity of the cadets choice in North Worcestershire as well as sharing the money raised with the West Midlands Police Heritage Society."
