UPDATE - Police reappeal following serious collision in Stourport

Please see below update in bold.

West Mercia Police is continuing to appeal for witnesses following a serious collision in Stourport on Saturday 19 January.

At around 3pm, officers were called to Ribbesford Drive to a report of a red Mitsubishi Evo colliding with a house.

The driver of the car, a man in his 20s, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital and a female passenger in her 20s was also taken to hospital.

Officers had previously appealed for anyone who has dashcam footage or witnessed the collision, including the driver of a 'sporty' looking blue Audi A3/ S3/ RS3 who may be able to provide information surrounding the movements of the vehicle involved prior to the collision.

It is now believed the red Mitsubishi may have had a near miss with a small red hatchback car - possibly a Fiesta or similar - prior to the collision on Ribbesford Drive and they are now keen to speak to the driver of this vehicle.

PC Matthew Saul, who is investigating the collision said: "Enquiries are ongoing but we would particularly like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the near miss. We are particularly keen to speak to the driver of a small red hatchback style car.

"If you were driving this car or know the owner of the vehicle please call us on 101."

If you have any information, please call West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident number 372s of 19 January 2019.
