Motorist who failed to stop after collision sought

Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorist failed to stop after a collision in Market Drayton.

The collision happened around 8.30am on Friday 8 March in Stafford Street near to the junction with Great Hales Street.

A 14 year old boy was struck by a black car. His injuries were not serious, however, the driver, who it's believed was a woman, didn't stop at the time of the collision. It's thought the car also struck a metal road sign and cone.

Officers are appealing for the driver of the car, or anyone who know who she may be, to get in contact with police.

The woman, or any witnesses, should ring West Mercia Police on 101 quoting reference 370s 080319.
