Superintendent's Commendation Ceremony

The Commendation Ceremony to celebrate the commitment, performance and dedication shown by police staff and police officers took place on Tuesday 13 May 2019

There were 40 officers and staff who received commendation certificates with an opening and closing address by Assistant Chief Constable Geoff Wessell.

Presentation of OCC, Crime Bureau and Firearms Licensing certificates by Superintendent Martin Samuel. He said: "The award ceremony recognises excellent work, enthusiasm, and commitment which is over and above the day job for staff involved across the Public Contact Command. Staff working in these roles are very often dealing with the most traumatised and vulnerable victims of crime, people who are vulnerable through their mental health on a daily basis, and other people in need of emergency services. There are some exceptional stories around the commitment of such staff who do a fantastic job in whatever role they undertake for the organisation, and I am pleased to be able to present the awards this year"

Presentation of Criminal Justice and Custody certificates by Dawn Hartland, Citations were read by Chief Inspector Gareth Morgan, Chief Inspector Edd Williams, Chief Inspector Keith Gee, Helen Copson, Marcia Lloyd, Jane Rischmiller, Becky Williams and Sally Williams.
