Witnesses sought to attempted robbery in Redditch

Officers investigating an attempted robbery in Redditch are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

It happened on Millsborough Road at around 6pm on Wednesday (29 May).

A 24-year-old man was walking in the street when he was approached from behind by two men. The men are reported to have assaulted the victim as they attempted to remove a piece of jewellery from his wrist.

The men - who were described as Asian, in their 20s and wearing dark clothing - left the area on foot.

Enquiries are ongoing but officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time.
