We are currently working with colleagues from the Fire Service and Ambulance after we received a call at around 10am this morning (Thursday 6 June) alerting us to an incident involving a substance leaking from a canister in Spring Lane, Malvern. Spring Lane in Malvern is currently closed.

We advise people in the local area to keep windows and doors closed until further notice.

Superintendent Damian Pettit said: "We have a multi-agency approach to the current incident in Spring Lane in Malvern.

A substance has leaked from a canister, so we are advising members of the local community to keep their doors and windows closed."

We currently have a road closure in place, which may cause some disruptions, so we would advise you to plan an alternate route avoiding the area."

He continued: "We are working with partner agencies to try to keep disruption to a minimum. We will update you further."
