Appeal for information following discovery of body in Droitwich

We are appealing for the public's help in identifying a man who may be able to help officers with their enquiries following the discovery of a man's body in Droitwich.

Police received a call from a member of the public on Monday morning (24 June) in relation to concerns for the welfare of a man at his home.

Emergency services attended a house in Vines Lane and sadly a man in his 80s was pronounced dead at the scene.

His death is currently being treated as unexplained.

Detective Inspector Mark Walters said: "This is a tragic incident and we are currently carrying out enquiries to understand exactly what has happened.

"Our investigation into the death of this man is very much in the initial stages and we are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area of Vines Lane, Droitwich between Sunday evening (23rd June) and 9am on Monday morning (24th June) who may have seen or heard anything that could help us.

"I want to reassure the local community we are continuing to carry out a meticulous investigation and residents are likely to see an increased police presence in the area."

"We would particularly like to identify the man in the image who may be able to assist with our ongoing investigation."
