Updated: Formal identification of man found in Shavers End Quarry, Stourport

A body has been recovered from the water at around 3.45pm on Monday 8 July in Shavers End Quarry, Stourport.

Formal identification has taken place, and it has been confirmed as missing 18-year-old Jayden Clarke  that entered the water on the evening of Sunday 7 July.

The body was been recovered by Police divers from North West Police underwater search team that have been helping West Mercia Police with the investigation.

The post-mortem revealed Jayden Clarke died of a head injury before entering the water.

The circumstances surround his death are not believed to be suspicious.

Next of kin have been informed and we ask that the family's privacy be respected at this time.
