Police seek driver of black BMW as potential witness after cyclist injured near Clent

Police are appealing to the driver of a black BMW to please contact them as a potential witness after a cyclist was seriously injured near Clent today Tuesday 23 July 2019.

It is believed that the cyclist was travelling along Broome Lane near Clent, from Clent towards the Hagley direction at approximately 10.40hours riding a black and red Ridley racing bike.

The cyclist was found in the middle of the road by a passing motorist and has suffered serious head injuries. He has been taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham for further assessment and treatment.

The passing motorist noticed a black BMW travelling towards her prior to coming across the cyclist.

Officers investigating the incident have been unable to trace this vehicle at the moment and are appealing for the driver to please come forward.

Police are also appealing for any other witnesses that may have seen the cyclist and any vehicles on Broome Lane just prior to the incident happening to please contact West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident 218s of 230718.
