Man sought in connection with Worcester assault

Officers investigating an assault in Worcester have released an image of a man they would like to speak to.

The incident happened on The Cross outside of McDonalds around 2am on Sunday 14 July.

The victim - a 24-year-old man - is reported to have had a verbal altercation with a man.

Shortly afterwards he was approached by another man who assaulted him causing the victim to suffer facial injuries.

Police would like to speak to the man pictured as he is believed to have been in the area at the time and may have important information that could help with the ongoing investigation.

The man, anyone who recognises the man or who has information is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting incident number 108S of 14 July.
