Police appeal for witnesses after man reportedly uses phone to take images of teenage girl

Police would like to identify and speak to the man pictured. The appeal follows an incident which took place in Redditch on Tuesday, 16 July.

Police received a report of a man attempting to take indecent images of a teenaged girl at around 8am on the underpass steps near to Trinity High School, close to St George's Road and Other Road.

Inspector Mark Chappell said: "While on the steps of the underpass the man tried to take photos of the girl with his camera phone.

"While this sort of offence is not common place in Redditch it is of course very upsetting for the victim. I would like to reassure the community that increased patrols in the area which extended into the week as well as performing extra local checks in an attempt to find this man. We continue to work hard to identify him, and would ask anyone with information on his identity, or information that would assist the investigation to please contact us on 101 quoting incident number 0117S of the 16 July 2019 or call Crimestoppers
