New members join We Don't Buy Crime team

West Mercia Police's We Don't Buy Crime team continues to go from strength to strength with new members joining the team.

WDBC new team

Thanks to funding from West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner, John Campion, the team has recently welcomed three new members, two We Don't Buy Crime co-ordinators and a We Don't Buy Crime Administrator.

The new members join Sgt Ram Aston, two field intelligence officers and a technical engineer. Next month two new vulnerability and exploitation trainers will join the team bolstering its numbers even more.

Chief Superintendent Tom Harding leads on We Don't Buy Crime for West Mercia Police.

He said: "We Don't Buy Crime essentially aims to put criminals out of business and prevent crimes such as burglary and theft and the associated harm that can bring.

"The investment from John Campion will mean we can strengthen our response even more and do even more to help prevent people from becoming a victim of crime."

Police and Crime Commissioner John Campion said: "I made a commitment to make communities safer, so I am pleased to welcome the new co-ordinators. The We Don't Buy Crime initiative has already proven to be a success, so with a strengthened team it is only right that we will see the impact strengthen too - ultimately reducing the number of people affected by burglary."
