Theft from vehicles

We have received 3 reports of vehicles being broken into late last night, Saturday 10th August in Upton Upon Severn.

One vehicle was parked on Old Street car park, a window was smashed and a speaker stolen, the other two were parked just off Minge Lane, one of the vehicles had a smashed window and a small amount of change stolen.

If you have any information or were a witness to any of these crimes please contact me and I will pass your details onto Crime Bureau for investigation.

Vehicle Safety

Most vehicle crime is opportunistic and happens as a result of a vehicle being left vulnerable or unsecured for example:

  • doors or windows left unlocked

  • keys left in the ignition

  • personal belongings on display (e.g. handbag, laptop)

  • Tools & equipment left in work vans

  • sat nav and holder left in vehicle

  • parked in a poorly lit areas 

  • vehicles being left unlocked with engines running to defrost during winter
