West Mercia Police embraces diversity. We welcome applications from everyone. We have several schemes and programmes within the force that ensures we are committed to equal opportunities to all.
Our Staff Networks
Through our staff networks and associations, we engage employees on employment practices and issues affecting police officers and staff. Our aim is to work in partnership to create an inclusive, diverse working culture, seeking views on how better to promote inclusion and to assess the impact of decisions on protected characteristics as outlined in the Equality Act 2010.
Our Positive Action Team
We have a programme of Positive Action work, which seeks to identify and address any barriers to entry or progression affecting groups which are under-represented in our service. In everything that we do we want to promote the health and wellbeing of all colleagues ensuring everyone can contribute and develop to their full potential.
Our Disability Confident Commitment
West Mercia Police is proud to be a Disability Confident employer, part of a government scheme for organisations which play a leading role in changing attitudes for the better. In continuing our Disability Confident journey, we are ensuring that disabled people and those with long term health conditions have the opportunities to fulfil their potential and realise their aspirations.
