FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST REFERENCE NO: 11890
I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 22nd May 2019. Please find below the response to your request:
How many fines have been issued in relation to the fixed speed camera on the A465 Belmont Road in Hereford during the last three financial years.
How much money has been has been paid in relation to these fines?
What is the highest speed recorded on this camera during that period?
And could this information be broken down into each financial year?
REPLY 1:
The fixed camera A465 Belmont Road has been operational since July 2018, therefore the only data I can provide is for financial years 18/19 and 19/20 to date.
Total number of offences detected which resulted in a Notice Of Intended Prosecution being issued to the registered keeper:
18/19 = 4,634
19/20 (to date) = 784
REPLY 2:
The number of offences whereby the driver has been offered a conditional offer of a fixed penalty and elected to choose that method of disposal is:
18/19 offences = 1,523
19/20 offences (to date) = 133
Please be aware that this information is correct as of today's date and is subject to change given many of the offences committed in the financial year 18/19 are still live and along with the 19/20 offences the driver could still choose to dispose of the matter by accepting the conditional offer of a fixed penalty - £100 Fine and obligatory 3 penalty points endorsement.
REPLY 3:
The highest speeds recorded were:
18/19 - = 74mph - this was an Ambulance and Exemption '87 was submitted therefore no further action was taken. The highest speed prosecuted through the Courts was 64mph.
19/20 (to date) = 73mph - this was an Ambulance and Exemption '87 was submitted therefore no further action was taken. The highest speed prosecuted through the Courts was 53mph.
REPLY 4:
As above
The data is true as of Thursday 30th May 2019
