P.C.S.O Designation Card
- I was wondering if P.C.S.Os carry a designation card whilst on duty?
- Can the public request to get a copy of this designation card?
Reply:-
PCSO’s are given designation cards and these are carried by the officers whilst on duty. Each card states the powers as designated by the Chief Constable.
Section 42 of the Police Reform Act 2002 requires PCSOs to produce a ‘designation’ upon request when exercising any powers under the Act.
