1. How many cases were brought by the force for offences under Section 8 of the Animal Welfare Act (2006)?

REPLY:   No cases were brought within the time period 1^st January 2007 – 31^st October 2019

1. Of this, how many cases brought convictions and how many were not pursued further?

REPLY:   N/A

1. What was the longest prison sentence recorded by somebody convicted of such offences?

REPLY:   N/A

    I am writing to request how many cases were brought by the force for offences under Section 8 of the Animal Welfare Act (2006) for each year from 2007-2018/19.   I'm only interested in the cases involving dogs at this time.

    If possible could you provide the most common breed of dog found to be a victim of these offences?
