I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 6^th April 2021. Please find below the response to your request:

1. Please can you tell me the number of
2. a) violent offences, and
3. b) sex offences

reported to this force from 1st January 2016-1st January 2021 where the report states the job title of the suspect as ‘security guard’ or ‘door staff’

I would like this data to be broken down year-on-year and by type of offence - sexual, violent, or both.

4. b) violent offences

Reported to this force from 1st January 2016-1st January 2021 where the report states the job title of the suspect as ‘police officer’ including the titles constable, sergeant, inspector, chief inspector, superintendent, chief superintendent, assistant chief constable, deputy chief constable, chief constable.

I would like this data to be broken down year-on-year and by type of offence - sexual, violent, or both.

I can confirm West Mercia holds the information requested

A search was carried out for Violence against the person to include the categories:

• Homicide
• Death or Serious Injury Caused by Unlawful Driving
• Violence with injury
• Violence without Injury
• Stalking and Harassment

The database was able to carry out a search on the roles ‘Security guard’ and ‘doorman’.

2.

A search was carried out for Sexual Crimes to include the categories:

• Rape
• Other Sexual Offences

This database has roles of Police Service, Police Service Civilian Employee and Non Home Office which were used to draw the data.

Within this 8 were recorded as PC rank, all other records were not recorded.
