I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 29^th July 2021. Please find below the response to your request:

Please disregard the original dates and instead use the below:

2020-2021 period should be 1 March ‘20 - 1 March ‘21 (only 28 days in Feb so taking it to 1 March)

The 2019-2020 period should be March 1 ‘19 - Feb 29 ‘20. (This must have been a leap year)

So to clarify:

I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, to request the following information specifically in relation to the time period 1 March ‘20 - 1 March ‘21 (only 28 days in Feb so taking it to 1 March) .

My request relates to applications under the Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme (DVDs) – aka ‘Clare’s Law’. Please state:

1.) The number of disclosures made to your force under the under ‘Right to Ask’ during this time period, broken down by time taken to complete disclosure in the following categories: a) 0-20 days, b) 21-35 days and c) 36+ days.

2. The number of disclosures made to your force under the under ‘Right to Know’ during this time period, broken down by time taken to complete disclosure in the following categories: a) 0-20 days, b) 21-35 days and c) 36+ days.
3. The three maximum lengths of time taken to complete ‘Right to Ask’ disclosure during this time period (i.e. completion times in the three cases that took the longest to disclose)
4. The three maximum lengths of time taken to complete ‘Right to Know’ disclosure during this time period (i.e. completion times in the three cases that took the longest to disclose)

If possible, as a comparison, could the same data please be provided for the time period March 1 ‘19 - Feb 29 ‘20 If this second lot of data means that my request falls outside of the act because of compliance limits, then please refine my request on my behalf and do not provide data for March 2019-2020.

Please Note: When searching the system there were cases where there were no relevant documents recorded or there was contradictory information, making incidents where it would be guesswork to complete. Therefore it has been worked out by days completed based on looking for those with a disposal date and if not recorded using the finalisation date. As stated below this would be inaccurate as cases can be closed down many weeks after the disclosure was made.

The number of disclosures per time period is based on the date the request was recorded.
