I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 29^th June 2021. Please find below the response to your request:

With reference to the Government Energy white paper and Net Zero 2030 strategy I am evaluating the contribution public sector bodies have towards increasing the use of sustainable transport. In particular I am researching the incentives offered to all staff that can encourage the use of Electric Vehicles (EV).

I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and I would be grateful if you could provide me with answers to the following questions:

1. How many facilities, that are part of your organisation's occupied workplace estate (owned or leased), have dedicated EV charging points installed and available to all staff?
2. In total how many EV charging points are available to all staff?
3. Does your organisation levy any charge for the use of EV charging?
4. How many Government available grants has your organisation applied for, or received, to assist with the installation of EV charge points?
5. What salary sacrifice schemes does your organisation offer, which are available to all staff, to assist with the purchase or lease of EV’s

I can confirm West Mercia Police holds the information you have requested. Please see below

1. How many facilities, that are part of your organisation's occupied workplace estate (owned or leased), have dedicated EV charging points installed and available to all staff?
   
   We have installed dual charging points at 7 sites at the moment, which include Hindlip HQ, Kidderminster Police Station, Worcester Police Station, Telford Police Station, Shrewsbury Police Station, Defford and Hereford Police Station.

2. In total how many EV charging points are available to all staff?

As above, the charging points were installed initially for the officers to charge their new fleet of electric cars for the moment. The PCC is keen to install further EV charging points in the future.

3. Does your organisation levy any charge for the use of EV charging?

The charging points are for operational use at present.

4. How many Government available grants has your organisation applied for, or received, to assist with the installation of EV charge points?

None

5. What salary sacrifice schemes does your organisation offer, which are available to all staff, to assist with the purchase or lease of EV’s

None this is under development.
