I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 15^th March 2021. Please find below the response to your request:

1. With respect to your entire fleet of police vehicles please confirm;
2. What, if any, vehicle insurance policies do you have in place
3. What is the level of coverage of each policy (i.e. Comprehensive or Third Party)
4. What type of damage/loss does each policy cover
5. Specifically please confirm whether any policy provides for compensation and/or any other monetary payment for personal injury/losses suffered by police officers driving police vehicles, who are injured when authorised “pre-emptive” Tactical Pursuit and Containment measures (to include, but not limited to tactical contact of a suspect vehicle) are executed by them.
6. Specifically please confirm whether any policy provides for compensation and/or any other monetary payment for personal injury/losses suffered by police officers who are being carried as a passenger in a police vehicle, who are injured when authorised “pre-emptive” Tactical Pursuit and Containment measures (to include, but not limited to tactical contact of a suspect vehicle) are executed by the driver of their Police Vehicle

Do you have any other (non-vehicle) insurance policies that provide for compensation and/or any other monetary payment for personal injury/losses suffered by police officers injured in circumstances as described in 1d. and 1e. above. If so please provide details of those policies and scope of coverage

All vehicle damage above and beyond policy excess.

Policy covers police vehicles, third party vehicle and passengers only.

Employers Liability Insurance covers injuries and losses to police officers and police staff.
