We have the following teams under Learning and Development:

CPD and Leadership Team (1 x Sgt, 5 x PC, 2 x Staff)
Investigative Skills Team (1 x Det Sgt, 3 x Det Con, 3.5 x Staff)
Policing Skills Team (1 x Sgt, 3 x PC’s, 10 x Staff)
Driver Training Team (6 x PC’s, 10 x Staff)
Safety, Fitness and First Aid Training Team (11.5 x Staff)
ICT Training Team (10 x Staff)
Skills, Planning and Programming Co-Ordinator (1 x staff)
Performance and Evaluation Officer (1 x staff)
3) What was the training budget last year?
£663,000
4) What is training budget for next year?
Financial year (2021-22) the external training budget is £626,858.
This is the budget for externally supplied training which also includes College of Policing.
5) How much of the training is conducted in house?
On our system it shows 2295 courses took place between 01/04/20 – 31/03/21
We ran 1772 internal courses (77.2%)
We had 523 externally supplied courses (22.8%)
6) How much of the training is contracted out?
There are no contracted out services, suppliers are sought as required and within procurement requirements.
7) Are there any current training contracts which are due to expire in 2021?
