I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 24^th November 2021. Please find below the response to your request:

I would like to request the following information:

1) The number of crimes reported - or incidents to which police were called - to your force relating to physical or verbal abuse of a victim due to having ginger or red hair in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and in 2021 up to November 15;

2) The number of charges made by your police force following physical or verbal abuse of a victim due to having ginger or red hair in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and in 2021 up to November 15.

Refined request received 30^th November 2021:

1) The number of crimes reported - or incidents to which police were called - to your force relating to physical or verbal abuse of a victim due to having ginger or red hair from January 1, 2021 to November 15, 2021;

2) A keyword search of police records to show how many times the words 'ginger', 'red hair' and 'redhead' appear in crime reports from January 1, 2021 to November 15, 2021.
