What are your current training, strategy and schemes for responding to suicide & self-harm callouts, specifically for Response Officers?

In relation to training West Mercia Police deliver the PEQF curriculum as set out by the College of Policing for our student officer programmes; PCDA (Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship) and DHEP (Degree Holder Entry Programme)
West Mercia PPST (Public and Personal Safety Training) refresher now consists of numerous scenarios for officers to attend and resolve. We have a suicide attempt scenario officers must attend where they are faced with a youth who either has a blade to their wrists or is hiding a weapon near their person.
In relation to strategy and schemes West Mercia Police does not hold any specific recorded information for those terms.
