I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 26th January 2022. Please find below the response to your request:
Can you confirm how many Police Staff Investigator's are currently employed by West Mercia.
Please can you include the gender percentage.
And if possible whether the PSI's are ex-police officer's, this part of the question is the most important part if you can provide it.

The current number of Police Staff Investigators – 48
34 Male
14 Female
26 Previously employed as Officers in West Mercia. If they were officers in another Force it is not recorded on West Mercia Police’s HR system.
